Many people spend large sums of money and time searching for success and happiness.
I want to share with you a reverse approach to realizing these goals in your life, by learning how to change the way you think about them.
Upon first reading, this method may appear to be strange, but I ask you to read it with patience and an open mind.
Through patient understanding, many new ideas can change your life.
Stop thinking about how you can become happy.
Think about what makes you unhappy.
Slowly begin to eliminate these things from your life, and happiness will be revealed to you.
Stop thinking about what can make you wealthy.
Think about what makes you not wealthy.
Slowly begin to eliminate these things from your life, and wealth will be revealed to you.
Stop thinking about what makes you healthy.
Think about what makes you unhealthy.
Slowly begin to eliminate these things from your life, and health will be revealed to you.
Stop thinking about how you can perform better at work.
Think about what makes you not perform well.
Slowly begin to eliminate these things from your life, and good performance will be revealed to you.
Stop thinking about how you can make more sales.
Think about what hinders you from making sales.
Slowly begin to eliminate these things from your life, and more sales will be revealed to you.
Stop thinking about how you can have better relationships with people.
Think about what stops you from having good relationships.
Slowly begin to eliminate these things from your life, and better relationships will be revealed to you.
Oftentimes, people focus on "getting" things, like happiness, wealth, health, success, etc.
What you need to understand is that as darkness is the absence of light, happiness is the absence of unhappiness; wealth is the absence of un-wealth; good relationships is the absence of poor relationships.
You need to eliminate what causes discomfort, in order to realize what delivers to you comfort.
One of the many secrets is life is to eliminate things.
Imagine you are planning a trip to London.
On your desk are maps, lots of brochures and tons of stuff you printed out from the internet.
You know that you have only a certain amount of time allotted for your time in London, and there are some places you definitely want to see.
So, what do you do? You begin to eliminate the places that you won't be able to visit.
By eliminating these places, your vacation plan is revealed to you.
For your allotted time here on Earth, there are a probably few things that you would like to accomplish.
When you eliminate the things that will hinder you, your life is revealed to you.
When you stop searching for happiness and eliminate the things that make you unhappy, you discover happiness.
When you stop struggling and worrying about the future and eliminate the things that make you struggle and worry, then peace is revealed to you.
How will you know if this reverse approach to getting more out of life will work for you? Test it.
If you like to cook and you find a new recipe for a delicious meal, how would you know if that recipe works? You test it.
If you would be willing to test a new recipe, why wouldn't you be willing to try a new recipe for a fulfilling life? Follow the above recipe to change your view on how you see things in your life.
Look at eliminating, as opposed to adding.
